Family Support – Domestic and Family Violence (DFV)

Domestic Violence Family support

Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) can have a profound impact on a family. Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) is any behaviour that is used to gain or maintain power and control over someone else and comes in many forms – psychological, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, financial, social, and spiritual control, stalking and intimidation.

The team at K.I.N. Care Services are passionate about working with families to support their long-term safety and happiness. We aim to work alongside you and your family to navigate key services and supports in the community with a view towards a better life so that you are not alone.

We work together with families to support and understand their circumstances and plan forward for their future.

Our programs are all tailored to meet the individual needs of families that we support. K.I.N. Care Services have both Family Support Workers and Case Managers linked with a family for the duration of the support period.

Children and Domestic and Family Violence (DFV)

Living with Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) can have serious effects on the emotional and behavioural wellbeing of children, and it can also impact on their development. However, with early intervention support services children can better manage the impact of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV). With the right support at the right time, children and young people can heal from the impacts of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV).  Children will be assisted to identify ‘healthy relationships,’ ‘red flags’ and ‘safe people’ with whom they can connect, in support of their wellbeing.

The team at K.I.N. Care Services are passionate about working with children to provide the necessary support in Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) situations.
